At our first visit, in May 2019, the LKL referees and technical staff told us exactly what RRM would need before they would use it in a real officiating context. Full-speed 3-second replay. Zoom. And an SDI feed carrying the referee's active view into the TV broadcast. Those were not requests on a wishlist — they were the threshold.
On 17 September 2019 we returned to Vilnius with all three built. The day ran in two halves: a morning session at league headquarters with referees and technical staff walking through every feature, then an afternoon at Siemens Arena with a 5-camera layout — operated by the LKL's own people alongside the Well Run team, not demonstrated at them. The Kobra.lt production chain, the official LKL broadcaster, was connected on site so the SDI output went into the actual broadcast — not an isolated screen.
Referees and technical staff at LKL headquarters went through each of the three features in detail. The session was a conversation, not a presentation — the people who had set the conditions were the ones asking the questions.
At Siemens Arena, a 5-camera layout was set up and the LKL's own people took the controls alongside the Well Run team. The officials drove the system rather than watching someone else drive it.
A single dedicated button replays the last three seconds at true speed before any slow-motion option is available. The sequence referees need in a real decision is the first thing they reach.
Zoom by touchscreen pinch or by button. Officials at any level of technical confidence reach the same frame by whichever path is natural to them.
A dedicated SDI output carries whatever the referee is reviewing into the live broadcast. On the day, that path was connected directly into the Kobra.lt production chain, so the integration was validated inside the league's own infrastructure.
A product-development loop closed in public: referee requests became shipped features, then handed back to the referees to drive themselves.
