01 — The brief

The brief

The Kyiv Association of Beach Soccer needed a broadcast partner who could cover two competitions at once — the Beach Soccer Championship of Kyiv and the Beach Soccer Championship of Ukraine — running concurrently across the same matchdays. Four games per Saturday, occasionally spilling into Sunday, for ten weeks in a row.

The output had to work across three very different surfaces: a national TV channel (Sport 1), YouTube, and Facebook. And the sport deserved more than a static wide shot — the fast pace of beach soccer, the spectacular goals, the close officiating calls — all of it needed to land clearly on screen, every week, without gaps in the season.

02 — What we did

How we delivered it

  1. 01

    Consistent weekly setup

We built a repeatable 4-camera production at Mistosporty — the same venue, the same workflow, week after week. Consistency was the point: when you broadcast every Saturday for ten weeks, reliability is the product.

  2. 02

    Dual commentary

Two commentary positions ran throughout each session, giving each game a proper broadcast voice — not a single shared feed rotated across matches.

  3. 03

    Slow-motion replay for Instagram

We produced slow-motion instant replays clipped specifically for Instagram — delivering social-first content while the event was still live, not edited the following week.

  4. 04

    On-site interviews

Live on-site interviews went out as part of the broadcast — players and coaches, captured at the venue, directly into the show.

  5. 05

    Simultaneous multi-platform distribution

Every game went out live to YouTube, Facebook, and Sport 1 TV at the same time, from a single production. A compact crew, one signal chain, three destinations.

04 — The outcome

What it delivered

The broadcasts drew thousands of views across YouTube and Facebook over the season, building a real and sustained community around beach soccer in Kyiv — not a one-off spike, but week-on-week growth in a sport that had limited broadcast presence before.

Something we didn't plan for became one of the more useful outcomes: referees began using the recorded coverage to review disputed moments between and after matches. The production effectively became a video review tool for officiating — a VAR function the sport had never previously had access to. That's what broadcast-grade footage does when it exists in a sport that previously had none.

Questions, answered

How many games did you broadcast per week?

Four games per session, every Saturday across a 10-week season — occasionally extending to Saturday–Sunday. All four went out live, covered by a single 4-camera production.

Which platforms did the live signal reach?

All three simultaneously: YouTube, Facebook, and Sport 1 TV. One production, one signal chain, three live destinations — including a national television channel.

Did you produce content beyond the live stream?

Yes. Slow-motion instant replays were cut and posted to Instagram during the event, and live on-site interviews were produced as part of the broadcast. Social content was delivered while the matches were still hot.

Was the footage used for anything beyond broadcast?

It was. Referees used the recorded coverage to review disputed moments — the production effectively served as a video review and officiating tool for a sport that had not previously had access to one.
